Thanks for this info! I'm using it for a b20b into my eg. I was also wondering if my power steering or a/c would be affected by the swap.

You are God!! This thread is a life saver!!

I'm swapping a b20b/z (haven't decided yet) into my 98 civic dx. This writeup is immensely helpful.

Seriously, thank God you're hear!

I'm so [freak]ing confused. Didnt help that I just read all kinds of questions from a guy called b20guy in the archives who swapped a b20z into a 96 dx. My car is a 98 dx. He had to re-wire the dist and everything.

You are making me work for this, eh

First things first. Honda added the sensor to the crank to be able to ID cylinder miss-fires that OBD2 standards needed (SAE). The fact of the matter is, you do not need it to run the car. If you run a OBD2 ECU, it will throw a code for it if you do not have it wired up. You catch what I am saying now?

You do not need evap. It will throw a code if you run OBD2, but like I have told you before, I would run OBD1 to get a map that will wokr with the B20 better

Sounds like I'm better off converting down to obd1 for simplicity.
