Monkeyballs and I agreed to a sale, in which I paid full on May the 6th. He has been very lazy in communicating with me. I waited several days before contacting him after payment. When I did contact him, he said he had a funeral to go to and that the tires would be shipped out asap. Again, a few days later and no tracking number or anything was sent, so I tried to contact him again. Again, it took him a few days to respond, saying he'd get them sent out the next day. I got another email saying they were sent, and he'd get the tracking number to me later that evening. I haven't heard anything from him, and have sent a few emails within the past week or so. As of now, I'd recommend NOT doing business with Monkeyballs. His recent activity on here is even a few days back.

(I will try and update this with actual dates to show how bad this transaction has gone, and may include the emails when I get more time. I just wanted to make this public, and try and get this resolved.)

So, if anyone knows this guy, or knows how to get ahold of him, please let me/him know. I would like the tires I paid for 17 days ago.

 

I finally received an email a few days ago from David Kline (Monkeyballs) stating that the tires were indeed on the way and he apologized. He said he didn't know where he was going wouldn't have internet. He also said he'd swing by work for the tracking number. Also, he said that his not replying to my emails was not intentional.

I still have yet to receive the tires and/or a tracking number.

We'll see how this pans out.

 

Update:

Nothing new. After being told he was sorry and the number would be sent, I've received no email or PM here. Once again, he's M.I.A.

if its taken this long a paypal dispute is longer overdue IMO...dont sell something if you dont have the time to ship it...i understand the funeral stuff but 2 weeks tops should be ample time to make it to the shipper of his choosing...

Office of Consumer Protection, my bank as well as the Chesapeake Police Department (where Mr. David Kline resides) are all being contacted.

David, you have several emails to read/reply to. This is theft, and I'm not giving up. This is just the beginning.

As of now, it's being somewhat taken care of. It's suspected that it was Monkeyballs' Ex-Roommate that used his information to do the transaction. I got ahold of the actual guy and he is helping to take care of it, I think.

I'm not sure how this will turn out, but I will definitely keep it updated. I was being patient after I found out the latest info, letting him try and clear his name up.

 

The story is still that this was an ex-room mate. I dug through and found that this user also goes by Grease Monkey on other forums such as VAdriven and has conducted business similarly. I received an email a few days ago that a Money order was on its way to me in the amount I paid.

 

I'm still doubtful that this is going to end on a positive note. I've not heard anything from David, or the "ex room-mate" since that last email. No money order received, which was said to have been sent.

 

Still nothing. He said it was sent. I waited 2 weeks and emailed him again. He acted surprised that I hadn't received it. He stated he would either send another one, or use someone's paypal from work to send me my money. It's been another 2 weeks or so since this. He is non-responsive to emails yet again.


If anyone is on VAdriven, in Virginia, or has a way to get ahold of this guy, I would really like my money back. Aviation exams aren't cheap!

 

Still NOTHING from this scammer. DO NOT waste your time or money with him. You will NOT receive what you paid for.

Thanks Brown, I don't think that I will, but I will at least help to make sure nobody else has to deal with this liar.

I guess instead of making threads or posting, he's been PM'ing people to stay low key. Little does he know that they're seeing this thread/PM'ing me asking about him.

Again, Do NOT waste time, effort, or money on ANYTHING this guy has to offer. Until I receive a refund, I will continue to make others aware of this scammer.

 

shitty deal man, sad to see people like him and the other scammers making it harder for the legit guys to buy/sell on here by making everyone not trust anyone else.

 

He hasn't posted since May, but is lurking and messaging people. His story is complete BS, and is definitely NOT someone to trust, at all.

 

Yes Monkeyballs has PM'd me in regards to WTB thread I created. I have requested a pic of said item with his username on sheet of paper. I know he has checked his messenges this morning, but has not responded to my request.
