Lost an auction for a gauge pillar so I emailed him and asked if I could paypal him for one. He said ok and I sent payment. Then he claims he sent it and i never got it after a long time. I then asked for a refund and he will not reply. It had been a long time, I email him a couple times a week. I think it is a legitamite business, does anyone in california know of them? I don't really know what else I can do since the transaction was outside of ebay.

 

Call PayPal and report the situation and file a report.That should start a pending investigation and if they do not respond PayPal will pull a refund from the account.

 

I heard paypal usually will not do anything... I will try but is that my only option?

 

basically. The seller has to prove he sent out the item. if he doesnt I believe paypal will take it from his paypal account if and only if the funds are there. I think they dont withdraw any money from his bank account. If your lucky and the money is there you will get it back but if he deposited the money then its too late. Good luck!

 

If I'm not mistaken they will pull it out of his bank acount or credit card,whatever you made a payment with.You need to contact them within the 30 days of the auction end so that it is documented on their end.If the seller does not respond or cannot prove that it was sent ,they will refund you minus the pecentage they charge for the retrievel.Their number is 888 221-1161.If you need more info let me know.The same thing happened to me with a different seller.
