Default FS: SMC+ (Plus) Fuel Controller

*** SOLD ***

The SMC PLUS is an acronym for Super Map Controller with 1000rpm increment adjustability. The SMC PLUS works with all OBD0, OBDI, OBDII, and OBDII+ platforms! The SMC PLUS is SMOG compliant and allows the use of your vehicles OBDII port during inspection. No additional chips or modifications needed to the ECU that may void your warranty.
The SMC PLUS features:

-Programmability from IDLE to 8000rpm+ at ONE THOUSAND rpm increments!
-Real-time MAP voltage correction for unparalleled drivability under idle, daily driving, and boost
-Controls larger injectors up to 440cc to 550cc for FI setups with the factory naturally aspirated ECU. Factory boosted ECUs may use injectors 2 to 2.5 times larger than stock.
-Smoothens transition from vacuum to boost
-Active internal MAP clamping to prevent a check engine light
-On-the-fly user programmability
-Multi-function LED status for: program verification, rpm pulse trigger, and power-on
-One touch programming
-Easy installation, comes with complete instructions for most 1987-2003 Honda/Acura applications and other makes soon to be added!
-Works from 1-11psi of boost for factory ECU Hondas (injector size dependent)
-Stealth. Small and compact design
-Works with all other 4-cylinder factory NA engines and factory boosted engines with a MAP sensor, such as the Subaru WRX, VW 1.8T, Mitsubishi Turbos and non-turbosÂ….etc

The primary use of the SMC PLUS is to allow the use of larger injectors with a factory ECU on a 4-cylinder engine equipped with a MAP sensor. The SMC PLUS will provide decent idle characteristics under idle and part-throttle conditions, but still maintain the proper air to fuel ratio under boost. For example, the typical function of the SMC PLUS is on a turbo 1.8L VTEC Honda/Acura, 1 to 11psi boost setup, using 440-550cc injectors and a 1:1 (one-to-one rise rate) fuel pressure regulator (your factory regulator may already be a 1 to 1 rise rate under boost). The SMC PLUS eliminates the need for a Fuel Management Unit (FMU). FMU's are notorious for very high fuel pressures and improper fuel delivery under boost, which causes very rough vacuum to boost transitions. FMU's also raises the fuel pressure to very high levels resulting in the stock fuel pump failing to provide the necessary fuel flow. Very high fuel pressures may also contribute to fuel leaks which may lead to fire and destroy your investment!
