Home built is so much better. Yeah they dont get those lifetime warrenty's but they dont use as good of parts either.
The ram alone is worth over $200 by itself.

With that processor you will never _ever_ use 2GB of ram. With 256 you could suffice. Just my 2 cents, I've built a lot cheaper, and that doesn't mean using "el cheapo" parts. Buying your **** online is key

Even tho custom computer is better than a dell/hp/whatever...it's hard to resist not buying a dell when it's like 300 or 400 for a desktop w/ like 2.8ghz and 17inch LCD
AND NOT TO MENTION! no need to hassle w/ researching which part to get, where is cheapest, and the extra hrs to install OS and stuff
I say around 300 to 500, 750 is too extreme
