Last Tuesday (11-6)I overnighted a cashiers check to a guy for a Bensons sleeved block. The seller had given me an email saying that it had been received on Wednesday. This is now Thursday night (11-15) and although he has been in contact with me the replys are getting less frequent and cut short and i still do not have a tracking # that was promissed upon the recept of payment and the shipping of the block. This is also an expensive matter (1250 bucks to be exact) so I do have the guys name and address just incase he does what I think he is doing. I emailed the guy on Tuesday about the tracking #s and this is the email he sent me.

"Yes the block did go out UPS. Althogh I used a 3rd party company in my area that uses ups. I did not get a tracking # from them. I went to ups to see if i could get a tracking
# and i had to give them your address etc. and I am expecting a call tomorrow."

I have not heard a word since. Should I be worried or am I just over reacting. I have noticed that we have a few guys in here that like to make house calls on dead beats. If anyone is southern Cali want to make an extra 100 bucks give me an email. I want to know where my block is. Please give me an email for more info and if you are interested at Boosted3g@aol.com

Should I file a claim to the internet fraud people? What do you guys think?

 

I'd give him another week. It is a block after all. If you hear nothing after that. Then you should be worried.

 

From CA to PA, give it some time.
I bought a few things from HT lately (just small inexpensive items) and it's been over a week now and I still don't have it.
With that large of a transaction, why did you not insist on COD or escrow?
Did he give you references?

Ya give it another week. I've had the same thing happen with the tracking # situtation. 3rd party company usually takes them 1 day to get it or so.

Since you did the deal over mail, I'd file a postal fraud complaint. But agian wait another week.

 

Yeah I got all of his info, address, name, i even got a copy of his driver licence. I know its only been a few days and I want to beleive the guy but that is a bit of a change and I would feel better wih a number. Dont they give it to you at the time of purchase?

 

Its only natural to worry. I barely browse thepartstrader.com because I dont want to be tempted in buying from the internet (accept respectable shops). Like everyone else said, just give it a week. Since it is UPS, they always screw things up. I payed for something to be shipped 2nd day overnight air and UPS got it to me in 3 days, go figure. Since you have all of his info and driver licsence you can find him if anything happens.
