$2000 ITC Honda Civic Posted: Jul, 10 2003
1986 ITC Honda Civic for Sale
The Good:
Ultrashield Aluminum Seat & Rails, Seatback Brace, fully welded cage, AMB Transponder (hardwired), Wink panel mirror, SS braided brake lines, Tokico Illumina adjustable shocks all around, Coil-overs w/ adjustable spring perches, OPM Style adjustable suspension (Front Camber Plates, Rear Panhard Rod & Rear Bar), Autometer Gauges (Tach, Water Temp, Oil Pressure), 8 Gallon RJS Fuel Cell w/ Custom Aluminum Enclosure, tipover valve, and Earl's hardware & fuel filter), Holley Red Electric Fuel Pump / Regulator, Fuel Sample Port, completely re-worked fuel system (new 3/8" hard lines, re-built carb), larger HD radiator, 6-puck sprung racing clutch, 2 3/4 sets of wheels / tires (3 ATS Cup / Hoosier, 4 Momo / Yoko AVS Intermediate, and 4 Civic Si Wheels / Hoosier Dirtstocker Rains), all new RJS safety equipment for 2001 season (window net, camlock belts - good till end of 2005 season), bunch of other new parts last year (windshield, front clip & radiator core support, Chikara Torq-Step 4-2-1 Header, muffler & exhaust, rear brakes, rear hubs, wheel bearings, lights, etc.), car is fairly close to minimum class weight, current Waterford Hills logbook (Detroit Area Club), car is in full compliance with 2003 GCR, and is ready to race. All this for only $2,000/obo. I've spent more than that on components.
The (not really all that) Bad:
This is a great little car, but it could use some (body)work (car looks great at 60 mph from 15 feet away - had new paint in 2002, but some body panels aren't exactly smooth - past co-driver attempted full roll-over in 2002, but only partially succeeded - incident and repair are noted in logbook) and a bottom end freshening (Hone the cylinder walls and install new rings and you'll run at the front of the group; engine is unmolested enough that it could be completely rebuilt at least one more time - combine that with the existing supension setup and a more seasoned driver and you would have a VERY competitive, yet inexpensive car).
The Summary:
The package price is somewhat negotiable . Please make reasonable offers! Would like to sell very soon!! Interesting partial or full trades also considered ('91 Miata or '87-89 Conquest TSi come to mind).
The Afterthoughts:
Also available:
Sparco Pro 2000 Fiberglass Racing Seat w/ lumbar pads and mounting rails $600
Panasport Ultralight 13x6 $500.
$3,000 takes the whole package!!
The Contact:
E-mail at wdorsch@excite.com or call me at 248/444-8215. Located near Detroit in Madison Heights, MI. There are some pictures showing the car both during construction (when car was orange) and after reconstruction (mechanically & paintwise anyway - bodywork is a different story ; yellow car). Lighting is terrible and shows all the flaws in the bodywork - the car does not usually look this bad. Here's the link.

There have been some changes to the cars appearance this season, and I think there are also some pictures of it in the Waterford gallery.
