Default When dropping a car? Toe in or Toe out?

I need to write this down, but when dropping the front and rear do you get.... toe in? or Toe Out?

With my Ground Controls I lowered the rear one full turn of the collar.

This is the way it works on my car, and I would guess its how it would on others, but your results might prove different.

when the front lowers, it toes in; when the front raises it toes out

when the rear lowers, it toes out; when the rear raises it toes in

when you have the car on an alignment rack, you can see what happens if they raise or lower it a little bit. The technician can use the lift to scoot it up a little (lifting the chassis) and watch how the alignment changes... this can give you an idea of what is going on when you brake and launch and turn.

If you find out its different, let us know.

You definitely get toe-in at the rear. At the front I would assume it also toes in but I don't know that for a fact

Judging from the inside-edge tire wear, I would think you get toe-out when lowering the front.

That's not a very accurate method of judging though

... which would do not a damn thing to your alignment settings.

That's actually the exact opposite.

For typical Honda double wishbone suspension (DC, EF, EG, EK, etc), you get TOE OUT in front and TOE IN in the rear as you lower the ride height.

Yes, the above is correct.

Hatch2K has an EP3, so in the front the Mac struts do cause toe-in when you lower due to those damn tie-rods.

after I lowered my car I got an allignment sheet..my rear toe was in and front was out (not bad though)...

btw just to make sure, toe in is when the front of the tires point towards the inside of the car right? also vice versa for toe out?

Rewind to years ago...

In the front, when I reduced camber, I got an @55ton of toe out. No idea on the rear.
