Default Wheels question

I just got done researching about my question but I still have some unanswered question. Is it really worth getting 15x7 over the 15x6.5 wheels and does it justify the money spent on the two sizes. I was planning on getting either Rota Slips or the K1....What offset is good range for 205 or 225 R tires. What do you guys think about that?

Thanx in advance!!!

Rado

well I think i heard somewhere that if you run a 225 on a 15 X 6.5 it would squeeze the side wall too much. I run 205/50v15 yokes 0032r's on 15 x 6.5 rota circuit 8's and thats already tight for my crx. on offset it depends on how low your car is. I run a 38 offset cuz it would rub with 45mm

Here's the formula:

- 15x7 wheels
- 225-45-15 Tires
- 5mm spacers in the back to keep from rubbing the LCA
- Roll fender lips

If you don't want to roll the fenders...run a 205 and all your problems are solved.

I ran a 205-55-14 tire this year on loan from phat-S, and could IMMEDIATELY tell the difference. Turn in was less precise, less grip, and they were just squirmy (by comparison).

I am dropped on H&R Sports- 1.75F and 1.5R...But does spending more money on the 15x7 are justified compared to the cheaper 15x6.5 I guess is my main question...

Thanx again!

I guess it depends on whether you want to run 205's or 225's.

Lets say for example I want to run Kumo V700 in 205/50/15. Would putitng them on 15x7 would make a noticable difference then same tires on 15x6.5. Sorry for all the questions....

it's all a matter of opinion. i run 205/50/15 on my street tires and 205/55/14 on stock 88 integra alloys for race tires. if these tires are gonna be race only, it's alright to run a tire that is slightly wider than the rim...more contact patch. but if it's gonna see daily duty I wouldn't do it
