What's the difference between using wheel spaces and just using washers?

Default What's the difference between using wheel spaces and just using washers?

Is it bad to use washers?

Washers are generally "stamped" out of a large peice of sheet metal with a huge die, leading to bad tolerances.

Wheel spacers are <u>machined</u> to the correct thickness and will be much safer.
