Default Weight reduction

Any ideas how can I reduce the weight on a JDM Integra Type R DC2 but without cutting and changing to fiber glass or carbon fiber parts. It weights 2,300 pounds and the weight that it's permitted is 2,100 pounds. It is for road racing use.

It depends on your rules and how much time/money you want to spend.

The best way to end up with a light car is to take everything off of the car, strip the tub down to metal, repaint, and build the car by putting on only the parts that you really need.

So by this, we are to assume that you have already done all of the weight removing things short of cutting steel and changing panels such are removal of all interior (seats, carpet, dash, headliner, etc), sound deadening and undercoating, etc.? If you haven't done this then you haven't even started and they take a short time and cost nothing.

What about window removal and replacement, sides, front and rear? Replacing the glass in my CRX hatch with Lexan took out 48 lbs along. light wheels, headlight fixtures are gone, heavy exhaust system is gone and bare basic there now? The sunroof tray and motors is a fair amoutn of weight and it at the highest part of the car as well.
