Default Type of camber kit?

Hi, I've searched and read hella topics, but none were specific in the TYPE of camber kit. Many brands of them make multipe styles, from replacement arms, to those shackle type mounts, to ball joints, etc.

I have a 98 Civic on H&R coilovers if that helps. Car is maybe 2 or so inches lower than stock. I need 1.5 degree adjustment. Now, I know you may say that's fine and not to get camber, but I'm looking to replace my upper control arms anyways, so I may as well do it all at once. I put 2000 Si control arms in when I did my brake swap, and apparently in 2000 Honda had a batch of bunk balljoints, and mine is one of the ones that failed after 15,000 kms

Now, the question!! Which type (ball joint, control arm, or shackles) would you recommend for ultimately a street car? (I'm asking here cuz what's proven in racing will hold up on the street) I'm leaning towards SPC ball joints as they seem to be well liked here at Honda-Tech, and they seem to be the least prone to losing their settings.

TIA!!!

Actually you can use either the balljoints or the upper arm assemblies. Our old 96HB had the arms in front and they were just fine. Check both SPC and Ingalls for part numbers. On the same car we used the adjustable upper arm in the rear rather than washers. The applications were fine for autocross and daily driving. Keep in mind that if you plan to run the car on track in Improved Touring or Honda Challenge you MUST read the rulebooks. This also applies to SCCA autocross events.
Your drop will determine which parts to buy and which will work best. Our CRX Si is set up with the front using SPC eccentric bushings anchor bolts and washers in the rear for IT and HC. That is all the rules permit and it is fine. BTW: there are no shackles on a Honda that I'm aware of-so I'll assume you mean the anchor bolts. Be very careful about clearance in the towers-it is actually tight in there.

awesome reply, thank you!

yes, I'm aware of the clearance issue with new arms. the car is not too low, I'm very much aware of geometry and wheel travel, and I'm very mindful to keep it as reasonable as possible.

yeah, I did mean anchor bolts... when I was writing that I couldn't remember the name but I remember them reminding me a bit of the revolver shackles I've seen for my Samurai.

I have no rules to comply with. The car has had too much work done on it to fit into any category where I would be even remotely competitive as a novice driver. Though my car may be capable, I don't think I am So, for steet use, what would you say? Ingalls anchors or SPC ball joints? Or something else?? Yes, in the rear I will go with SRR camber kit. I think the washer thing is... low tech at best. I mean, when NOT bound by rules, it would NOT be my choice.

I'm not concerned with budget, though I'd like to keep it under $300 which from what I've seen should buy me plenty. I'm most concerned with proper geometry, longevity, and not losing the setting. I like Progress products too... any thoughts anyone?
