The biggest problem with Tein is getting prompt service. As far as I know, there are no USA service centers, so all blown shocks go back to Japan.

I haven't heard of anybody stateside getting custom valving from Tein or custom spring rates. I haven't seen any retailer advertise these features as available.

Due to the above, most serious autocrossers or racers stick with Koni or other well established brands. TrueChoice is a popular choice, as is Ground Control. Tokico Illuminas are good shocks, not revalvable like Koni but cost less.

I woulndt even bother with the teins. I had these on my car, and now have the Bilstein, with eibachs. The setup i have now feels much better on the track.

I just installed some Zeal Function B6 coilovers for autoXing and boy what a difference over stock. It was a toss up between Tein, Zeal and Koni/GC. I chose Zeal because they have a US office where you can get them serviced, Great customer service, and the dampening adjustment **** clicks into place and has a visual display unlike the Koni "count the rotations" method.

Before the suspension the best I placed in my class was 5/12, but now, #1.

The only reason I wouldn't recomend Zeal is the high cost, but you do get what you pay for.
