i did a search to find some info about strut mounts only to find my own old post. so i'm gonna blow the dust off it and put it back on the table. i'm getting new springs and shox next week and i'm wondering if i need to get new strut mounts. i probably do, but i don't know what to get as far as oem replacement or otherwise. the car will be a daily driven sts/hpde car on 400f/300r gc's and illuminas. the car is a '91 civic hatch. TIA

I don't know about the durability of mounts (or any suspension components for that matter) but I do know that your car doesn't have struts. Are you trying to fix a problem that can't exist.

How many miles do you have on the car? It has been my experience that with much over 50k you should replace them. It is cheap insurance. You do not want to have to take them apart again any time soon, so just get them.
