Default spring problem.. help

after an event of hard racing i always change from my racing tires to my street tires like most of us do, but at the last event i noticed that my front passenger spring had a slight curve in at, just a mild bend.
i was wondering if this is bad, and what may have caused this
also is it ok to drive and/or race with this
there doesnt seem to be any problems driving or racing with the spring in its current condition
in fact i was only a half second away from first at my last event
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Are the spring stock or aftermarket? Are their normal replacement spring size sitting on a factory perch or are they rqce springs with flat ground ends and a straight cylindrical side. More info is needed but as a general rule of thumb they shouldn't bow like that nor is it something that will likely make you crash on no notice.

Best to snap a picture.....

are they bent like in a half-hourglass shape? or bent noticeably left to right...

u can barely even notice the bend, the only way way i noticed is that the shock is closer to the spring near the middle of the spring

They are just old, low rate springs that are showing some use. I wouldn'd freak about it but a set or good performance springs would make a nice upgrade before long. Take 'em off, salute 'em for a job well done and put on some sane performance springs.

you know what, i had stock springs on koni yellows on my GS-R, and i think they did the exact same thing...but only when unloaded. When the car was on the ground, the springs were straight under load...i recall being satisfied with something about it and not worrying about it, but i can't for the life of me remember what that was. Still get some good rates on there anyway
