SoloMatters
For those of you that do not know me, my name is Hilary Anderson. I have been participating in Solo since 2008. Mostly in the classes STC and STS (EF Hatch and EF CRX's). Recently I've become part of the National Communications Team, one of my responsibilities is to help distribute SoloMatters. I have started this thread to have an area to post new SoloMatters updates and content.
Recently SoloMatters has launched a redesigned site. Check it out here at www.SoloMatters.com
Addionally if you have any ideas for an article feel free to contact me directly or email at SoloMatters@SCCA.com
Thank you for your time,
Hilary Anderson

F Modified
"It must be asked, why would anyone in his or her right mind run in F
Modified? They’re perceived by many as obnoxious, loud, and belch oil
smoke into the air. Paul has found, after having run in Stock, ST,
Street Mod and Mod classes, with the possible exception of K-Mod, you
quite simply cannot go faster or have more fun in Solo competition for
the money. And unlike karts, F-Mod doesn’t require special suits, kidney
belts, site-specific gearing changes, or to be pushed to grid on a
cart."

What's up Hil!
I think there may be one or two folks here considering/planning on attending the upcoming Dixie Tour. For the rest of you, it's a pretty cool event. A bunch of BS'ing, hanging out, and generally good times surrounded by some of the top SCCA Solo drivers in the country... all with an event being run at a nice, open site. Last years course design was fast/flowing and had me on the limited in my STX ITR in ~2 or 3 spots (figure about 65mph). The surface is good and grippy and almost entirely smooth.
I'm planning to be out again as are several other folks out of Buccaneer Region. At least two of us will be running SMF (swapped FWD Honda's) on street tires so you don't really have to worry about bringing a 10/10th's prepped car just to see what it's all about and have a good time.
