I just wanted some input on the classes that are available in the midwest and texas for skid control. I've had plenty of traction loss incidents (expected and unexpected) to want to take a class. Being able to protect myself, my car, my passengers, and other cars on the road from such accidents is of the utmost priority to me.
I think I'd much rather do the class now while I'm on the last leg of my Toyo FZ4's (which are crappy at any mileage to say the least), and save the Dunlop's or Bridgestone's for after. Unless they give us cars to use....which would be a different story all together.
So, if anybody could help me out with a few names/places and any comments, it'd be mucho appreciated.
danke

That's what I'm tawking 'bout.
I'm already auto-x'ing, and have learned lesson #1: complete humility.
I just wanted technique to fall back on when instinct doesn't do the right thing. And, in the process, retrain my instincts to automatically do the right thing.
Thanks guys.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but my golden autoX rule is:
In a front wheel drive car if the tail steps out stand on the gas you will catch it.
