Default Simple Question

Whats the name of the thick paint marker stuff used to mark the ends of hardware so that if anything has backed off its easy to spot?

I've got it right on the tip of my damn tongue but can't remember.....

When I used to run fatigue tests on helicopter assemblies, we used something like this for bolted joints after properly torquing the bolts with a calibrated torque wrench. It was called a "torque stripe" and was applied by the inspector.

Thats the stuff.
We used to put it on tons of things on blackhawks.
One look at the hardware and you would know something moved!

Thanks a bunch!

Chris, I've came up with about 50 variations of what ****M could mean, all pretty colorful. I could care less about being PC.

LOL, what the hell....a google search tells me that d.y.k.e.m is a brand of marker which is I'm sure what you were talking about.

Since for some reason h-t considers it taboo, you had to turn it into an acronym.

I finally caught on. Sorry....its early here.
