Default question for the rota users

*i did a search and came up with nothing*

i have a friend that bought a set of rotas for his gsr. ever since he has put them on one lug on the front rim seems to keep loosening on its own. it is the same lug on the same wheel everytime. he hasnt had any of the other ones cause this problem. i know it can be some other things that might be causing this but i wanted to see if you rota owners have had any similar problems or any other kind of problems with your rota wheels. your feedback is greatly appreciated

I currently have Circuit 8's on the Miata, and no problems at all. Is your friend using a torque wrench to tighten his lugs? I'd also clean and inspect that lug seat on the wheel as well as the lug and stud--maybe something is a bit buggered up.

You also should make sure he is using the correct lugnuts. It should have a tapered seat to match the rim. It should not be the rounded 'acorn' style like the stock ones.

I've got slips with tuner lugs from Discount tire (Gorilla made) and have never had an issue since I put them on back in Jan 02. I use a torque wrench set to 80ft/lbs and as Ron Popeil says "Set it and forget it!"
