Default Question about SM elegibility.

I run an EH2 hatchback powered by a B18C1 engine. Here's my question:

Is it legal to use the B18C1? This was never an issue until other cars started to be bumped into SM, and we're trying to figure it out.

Thanks,

Chris

rulebook is on scca.org

i'm 99.99% sure that a b18c1 is fine and dandy.

Yes, any Honda/Acura automobile motor from any market (Japan, US, Europe, etc) is ok.

Some people in my area are trying to get me bumped out of SM since they got bumped up. We're just trying to figure it out.

Why did those other people get bumped up to SM? Is it because of a CF hood? Tell them to go back to their OEM hoods and stop bitching.

You are 100% legal with your B18C1 engine.

Uh, just noticed you are in Canada - does your club use the SCCA rules? Most of us are basing our statements off the SCCA Street Mod rules - your club's rules may differ.

BC is one of the two regions in Canada that uses SCCA rules. And yes, he's perfectly legal with a B18C1 swap.
