Plexiglass side windows?
I'm keep the front window standard OEM glass, I've "cut" the doors so my windows are just in a fixed position for now. I'd like to loose some weight in the side(quarter/door windows and possibly the rear, I couldn't really see much regarding using plexi, i'm not trying to be cheap, but rather I have no real parts dealers here in Toronto that can get me FAL/similar stuff in a reasonable time frame. I've gone to the big ones(won't name names) and wasn't happy with the disinterest in getting me this stuff. So, do you guys see any real "danger" in running plexi side windows? this is a turbo K20 in a93 2dr that I use for top-speed runs, so yes I'm worried about stuff potentially "flying off" if plexi is "weak"?.
With our dollar trading at .75 to the greenback and high import tariffs ordering from the US isn't really in my best interest. Thanks, if this needs to be moved to drag racing, my apologies.

I am sure you have but did you call Perry auto in Quebec. I live in Nova Scotia and have trouble finding parts locally, So I found talking to oval track guys to be the quickest fix. I would find a speed shop for the roundly round guys and See if they can get lexan for a decent price. Just a matter of cutting it into the shape needed. Rear window needs a few braces, so make a couple temples before you take it out or shatter it to peaces lol
many race teams use Lexan.
Here is some information for you.

Thank you for the link, maybe i'll try some window places and see if they carry lexan. I'm not opposed to cutting it myself, it seems sturdier which is good considering i'm going to drill it for the bolts to mount it.

So weird that i decided to click on my honda tech bookmark today. We run lexan windows in our endurance cars (currently 2 b20 eg's). We picked it up from Piedmont Plastics Inc on tapscott Rd in Scarborough.

Thank you very much! I'm always around Scarborough, I'll have to check them out.
I wasn't able to find any deadstock of the FAL windows, so I'm going through Mike Templar in the UK. Mike seems really cool, and they have a bunch of options. Give him a holler if you need something.
Not to mention these are 1/2 the price of FAL.

Check out Y&S Lexan on Facebook or Instagram. I randomly came across their business when browsing on IG one day and it looks like they have good product. It looks like FAL lexan products for Hondas are no longer available.
EDIT: Just read that you would prefer not to purchase in the US. But if you do, this is another option for you to look into.

Thanks, guys. I got lucky and a very reputable "glass" shop 10 mins from my house will get me a 2x3' sheet for 40 bucks. I have one question, how susceptible is this stuff to cracking if I'm drilling near the edge. The body ended up being a 4dr eg8, the EJ1 in my original post got flipped for a profit.
Plexi or lexan?

A sheet of Lexan is $100, all you need is a template which I made from thin plastic sheet using the original glass, and a band saw.
