...Craig from TunerToys
...Geoff from Full-Race
Probably others too, but it was hard to remain completely focused while California Dude's pit bull was trying to curl up in my lap...

This was like maybe the 3rd time I watched the show, and I actually enjoyed it for the 1st time. Wasnt too much of the usual lame-*** negotiations: "We want 100 cars head start", "No way! We give you 5 cars", "Ok then, we will settle for 50 cars and you unplug the bottle" And so on...
Most of the races were heads-up and that VW did indeed look like a SCAARY SOB to drive even in a straight line.
Now if they would only do away with the "street" style starts and actually use the lights and print some slips. Hell, they could even use the "bracket race" function on the lights to give one car a headstart, etc. Might as well use equipment that's there...

I think the whole idea is to resemble a 'street' race, only have it in a safe area and make it cool for TV. Times don't have anything to do with a true street race...it's whoever gets to point B first.
Too much electronical organization and it would be no different than any other drag race on TV.

to me, the negotiations are tence. they make everything so crazy in a good way. the way the show is set up using without the slips are reasonable of course. ppl would be asking for 2-50 cars and it would be pointless. wast of time. that race was one of the best ones out there. once i saw that bug fly left to right most of the time i desided RWD is out for drag race on me. to scary haha. everytime i would see that rex do its burnout i would fall in love more and more. good for the love of drifting.
GOOD JOB TO THE REX & BUG.

Hey don't apologize for not having cable. It means you have time to work on the car instead of wasting your brain on dumb shows.

If anyone missed it they are re-airing the show several more times in the next few weeks. Information on show times and purchasing raffle tickets for both cars can be found at http://www.hasport.com All the proceeds from the raffle are going to the American Diabetes Association and Hurricane Katrina Relief.

Keith,
I didn't know you are in t he show too. I have not seen it yet and hope to catch the rebroadcast.
I've seen the ads for the longest time and saw Brian in there. And his comment that particularly stick is, " I'm not here to be talked out of a car!" I thought it was funny and definitely a good trash talking.
Congrats on the win and for the good cause. I've sent out emails about the raffle on various mailing list I'm in.

What a crazy episode
. Glad the Bug driver was OK. Looked like a scary crash. Even better was the fact that he demanded that the new cage be installed before the second match up. Talk about intuition
.
Big ups to both teams for their effort and the charity donation idea as well

The real reason I got rid of cable is because I though all my children did was watch TV. No cable and the have found many other things to do.
Thanks for the link guys.
I was able to read what happend, and check out pictures.
Looks like an exciting episode.
