Default NEED KNOCK SENSOR HELP

jdm d15b. 98 civic. need to pass emissions. can i screw this thing into an alt. bracket hole(will thread it onto something else to make it fit if necessary). if i remember correctly, there is an empty "hole" beside the alt. bracket. how about that "hole"?

what about hanging this thing on the firewall? seriously-this sensor looks like it would not know the difference.
search did not help.
advise please. thanks

Yes it will know the difference the ecu searches for engine noise and just grounding the sensor does not work the best solution I have found is a S300 hondata and disabling that sucker or a p28

any empty "bung" on the block can be drilled and tapped for a knock sensor. I did this on an lsvtec.
