I know we've had a good number of these threads but none anwser my specific question. I've been running my street tires in STS and am just tearing them to hell, I also lost by 1.023 seconds. I rode with the guy that beat me when I was trying to figure out where I was DNFing, and the difference really is in tires. I was a set of 15x6.5 Konig heliums, $100/wheel, but I've got to pay for school. I can get a set of stock 14x6.0 miata wheels for $200 and put azenis on them for just over the price of the konig's.

My questions are how big of a difference will I notice between a 195/60-14 and a 205/55-15 azenis and wheels. This will be mostly solo II, I'll be doing solo I when I get a bar welded but that will probably be next season sometime. Would it be worth it to wait and get the 15's or go for the 14's because they're cheaper?
