Default wheel size help

so im thinking of putting some new wheels on my civic. i was wondering what sizes you guys would recommend, its a 93 lx 4door, i think it comes stock with 13s, im thinking 15s, and tire advice would also help. im eventually going to lower it with coilovers, she wont be slammed cause its a daily, so function plus looks is better than it being totally slammed. thanks for the help

Keep in mind, the larger you go, the less actual torque you'll have. If you want the science and math behind it, feel free to search. That in mind, the smallest wheel you can generally get and still be able to find good tires is a 15x6.5. There are very few good tires available for a 14" wheel, short of track-oriented tires. The tire industry is also "phasing out" smaller tires, and targeting newer cars with wheels that start at 17" and go up.

And the spedometer will have to be recalibrated or something because of the different size of wheel correct?

Incorrect.

If properly sized tires are used, the diameter of the tire remains the same as stock, and no recalibration is necessary. This is good, because unlike a truck, yours isn't able to be re-calibrated anyway.

A 93 Civic should be running 195/50-15 sized tires on a 15" wheel, and would be fine on widths between 5.5" and 7".

And if you prefer the "low profile" look, you can also consider 16s with a 205/40-16 tire size, but you'll severely limit tire availability doing so.
