Mirror preferences?
I have to put a mirror in my car. It looks like my choices are a stock-type that glues to the windshield, a Wink or a convex one. IO Port sells the convex one and they claim its easier to use than a Wink. I've driven other cars a little bit with Wink mirrors and they seem kinda freaky at first but I suppose I would get used to it pretty quickly.
So what kind of mirrors do you all use? If you like the Wink, how many panels do you use? It looks like they come in 3, 4 & 5.

I use a 4 panel wink. It seems to do its job well and I can get by without using the outside mirrors. I'd use a 4 or 5. I would have chosen 5, but 4 was all that was in stock at the time.
ive got the ioport mirror that bolts right onto the stock mirror. its convex so it changes the optical aspect and takes getting used to. the field of view is very wide, however the draw back is the images in the center are much smaller. like i said, it just takes getting used to. if i had to buy another mirror, i would recommend getting this allview mirror. its flat in the middle and convex on the sides where you need it. never used the paneled type mirrors myself.

I had a Longacre mirror. I could see cars right beside me. I really didn't like the distortion, though. Right now, I am using the stock mirror. Of course, you have to deal with all the blind spots that it has. I have been interested in the Allview for quite a while. If the ads are true, it will have the best features of both types. I will find out.
I use the 4-panel Wink in my Honda Challenge CRX. I like it a lot. It was very easy to mount (without any kit) to the roll cage.

It has changed very little from the one that was mounted on the dashboard of my other race car, about 30 years ago (before I got it).

sorry no good pic of it at the moment. it sits fine with my rollcage, pretty much where it would if i removed the stock and bolted it up to the rollcage. but the attachment to the mirror is kinda flimsy. it responds badly to vibration and at some frequency like all other things but its still usable.
