How much of an increase in straight line acceleration can I see with an lsd? Is an lsd only effective during launching?

The more hp you have, the more effect it will make. The launch is the biggest gain you will get from an LSD. I was able to up my launch rpm about 1500-2000 with the LSD installed. As I said though, you will notice it more with a higher hp car that has a lot of trouble getting off the line without overpowering the tires. If you do not hve this much power, the gains will be minimal.
