Default Lighting ?

What do you use to cover/replace the front lights on your racers? I was thinking about getting a set of GTS covers and modding them to work... That or making some CF ones. Also have any of you modded your brake lights? I mean removed the facroty, and then replaced them with some other type of light.

Get the cai the replaces the headlight. (if it is applicable to your car)

I have no idea about the quality of these, but I've heard some good things about them.

The rules under which most of the people here run don't allow the headlights or tail lights to be removed or modified.

CF headlight covers? Assuming they do their job, that's an expensive investment.

If your class rules allow you to completely remove the headlights, then the GTS smoked covers are the right shape to plug the holes. I just painted them body color and made mounting tabs that reached over and held them in place. Their shape is off just a little bit becasue they are made to fit over and not replace the light itself. They are cheap and available if you'd rather not shape something from aluminum. My passenger side has my air intake behond it so I hole-saw drilled out three big holes them epoxied some 1/4 inch hardware cloth mesh to keep rocks, rubber and chunks out.

actually, I have raw fiber here that I can make these out of... I don't think that there would be a whole lot of weight difference between ABS and CF though.
