Default Introducing myself

Hi,
I'm new here, although I've been checking in now and then. I've been autocrossing and doing track events for many years, and have always done it in Honda's. I'm very impressed with this forum others at honda-tech, and hope to learn a lot and maybe help some people out with sharing my experiences. So anyway, just wanted to introduce myself.
Jim

Jim, do I know you? You mentioned you race with ASCC. I do as well, along with Neohio SCCA. My ride this past year was this... http://www.pbase.com/soloracer/impreza

I'm not sure we ever have met, but I do recognize your car. I only ran 3 or 4 events with the ASCC last season (blame that on 2 boys with Sunday soccer games!), but at those events I co-drove JD Kaltenbach's white Civic-Si ITA car in CSP. Before that I hadn't run since 1998, when I won the ES championship with my red '89 Civic-Si. Before that I ran a black turbocharged '91 CRX-Si in EM for many years, along with a '94 Integra GS-R in G-Stock. I'm telling you all this because I figure maybe you're like me and remember the cars people drive better than the people (sometimes)! Anyway, I am "hoping" to get my Civic up to snuff to run it in STS this year. It needs a lot of work before I can do that, so I'm not sure if I'll get it done in time or not.
Are you going to be running the same car this yearin the ASCC events? If so, I'll look for you at the first event.
Jim

I'm not sure we've met either, but I've probably seen you. I ran a Type R in G Stock for the 2000-2001 seasons. Do you know Erik Eston? I think he had a turbocharged 91 CRX like you described.

Brett
Yeah, I've known Eric for a long time. His CRX was an '89, and in fact I bought it from him back in I think '92. I had my own CRX at the time and liked it better, so I stripped all the performance parts off of his and put them on mine, then sold his car. I then developed the turbo system to run 12 psi vs. the 6 psi it was designed for. I sold my car (regrettably now) in '98 with only 49k on it. Wish I had that car back.
Anyways, hope to see you at the autocrosses this year. And Soloef, thanks for the welcome!
Jim
