Ok...I think im the only one with this problem. I have a JDM civic read my singature. Anyway why do girls and some guys come up to me and there like when are you going to get your hood painted or when are you going to get som rims for your car. I mean its really botheringme that people do not know anything about this stuff. The only girl i know that knows what I have is my GF. What the hell is going on.

 

People are going to flame you for posting this here but all I'm gonna say is...

When ARE YOU going to get your hood painted? Only reason to leave it unpainted is to let others know you have a CF hood.

 

So what do you tell them when they ask why you spent $500 to replace a perfectly good hood???

 

I just say its Carbon Fiber and it makes my car lighter. and there like ohh. should have kept the original hood it matched the color of the car. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

 

or just paint the damn thing to match.

 

Unpainted body panels suck. It looks like ***.

 

And this is in Competition WHY?

 

Because carbon fiber body panels mean that you have a competition car. Just ask Yack.

You can paint carbon fiber. Very few race teams don't paint it.

You should paint it. Lime green would look nice.

 

ok im not a ricer i just like the look of JDM style, all i said was doesn anybody else have the same problem i do when it comes to girls asking about your hood being black, and im not going tohave my hood painted at all.

 

No because all of us in here race. We don't have carbon fiber hoods. We also see very little use for the whole "JDM" thing.

No lime green? How about a nice shade of metallic navy blue? That would look good as well.

hey you dont have to like JDM style. Thats up to you its your car. I know im probably going to get ragged on for this but i hate AUTO CROSS. Its boring. And most of the people that do it are old. And they are like "DONT STREET RACE SOMEONE COULD GET HURT" Or DRAG RACING is DUMB. You guys can rag on me now but that how i feel about you auto crossers, and just like you dont see need for JDM i dont see a need to drive around turns fast.

 

I say cover it in woodgrain vinyl shelfpaper. That way people will think you have a hood made out of wood. Now *that* would be cool. Plus...ooh I just thought of this...carbon fiber, when knocked on, might sound kind of like wood - so people might actually buy it.

Yack you need to do this with the wing and the splitter, I don't know what you're waiting for.

And Warren too, don't forget about Warren with his pimpy yellow and red shocks.

im far froma thug dont start talking like that. im into drag racing and thats it. and i told you i posted it in the wrong spot but now that its makign you mad i think i will post every single question or comment in this area. and all of it is the same going around turns fast. im lieing i kinda like watching RALLY racing on speedvision, but usually fall asleep during it.

 

Here's your problem (see bold above)... you seem to give a **** whether people know what kind of car you drive. Don't you have the car because YOU like it, not because it's recognizable? If you want recognizable, get a Camaro, Mustang, etc... no mistaking those.

Oh, this isn't making people mad, you are just their current source of ammusement. Keep that in mind. We're pretty self moderating in here, so if you choose to "post every single question/comment" then you will continue to be made fun of, and may even find yourself banned as a troll. I'm no moderator, but that would be my guess, unless you just provide too much ammusement.

Do you have an ASGM? What version? Cobra's is the IV, I think.
