I am involved with a SCCA Pro MX-5 team and we will be racing in Houston on the 21st of April and then we leave from there and head to Road Atlanta for a race the next weekend. We are looking for a track between Houston and Atlanta that we can do midweek testing at, Monday, Tuesday would be best but Wednesday would also work. Being from the west coast I don't know what is available in the south east, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Barber Motorsports Park and Talladega Grand Prix come to mind. Both are in Alabama. Of the two, TGP seems more likely that you'd be able to book it.

 

or you can drop down to the savannah, ga area and go to http://www.roeblingroad.com , it is a pretty nice track, recently repaved, just no elevation changes, but usually can get use of it pretty cheap
