Getting started
hey guys,
i'm 22 and live in MI and i'm looking at how to get into the sport of autocross/road racing. in high school i took 2 years of an automotive secular school and worked for a year as an apprentice honda mechanic...i didnt like that so much but i loved working on my own cars and im on car number 10 right now...i own an 07 honda fit.
ive worked from washing yachts to a real estate agent to a janitor, misc construction and i just cant find my "thing" then i starting thinking about what i really enjoy and that is the world of honda and i've always wanted to start autox.
so i'm looking into it now and taking one thing at a time and hopefully going to a small driving school in the near future.
my question to you guys is 1.how to get started. 2.what careers available in this type of sport? any information you guys could throw my way would be very much appritiated.
or if you guys could give me a link because im sure someone has posted this type of thing before.
Thanks

I'm sure that thread mentions it somewhere but check out http://www.NASAproracing.com and http://www.scca.com . If you look through those stickeys and do some searches, you'll find plenty of info.
Good luck!
