Default found source of lightweight batteries...

Hi fellas!

i remember a while back folks looking for affordable lightweight batteries for racing; well, the original battery in my H1 Civic died last week and I found a source of compact lightweight batteries at affordable prices.

I found a Miata replacement battery (7.5"L x 5"W x 6.75"H, 23 lbs.). It is a sealed unit and fits very nicely in my Civic. I am sure that it would fit nicely in all other Honda products. It is much smaller and fairly light...., and is designed to crank a small, 4 cylinder engine, so cold weather, etc, should not be a problem...

I have pics of the battery if anyone wants to email me; i'll send them out....

I have access to about 20 units; sale price around $75, anyone?

hope no one minds i put this on the comp list, but i believe that the last thread about this started on the comp list...

later,
Todd

I see no reason it wouldn't work great for a Prelude; sure the motor is a little more displacement, but it cranks up my B18B motor really fast with no problemo...

this particular Miata replacement battery is made by West. I believe that it is 330 CCA rated; as I said, it cranks up my B18B Civic really quickly (especially compared to my 9 year old original battery!).

To be fair, I went to West's site: $85, free shipping, with warrantee.
http://www.westcobattery.com/pages/products.asp?id=11

If you're in most states you'll get stuck with tax of course, but if we order from you we'd pay a bunch on shipping.

Do you offer the same warrantee?
