Is it not acceptable but even preferable to get up high in the rev range for break in? I don't mean WOT 1/4 runs all day, just occasionally get the revs up under partial throttle. Otherwise drive conservatively and I think the main thing to avoid is long, steady state RPMs for, what, 3K miles to be sure?

thanks for spilling the beans jonny....

if i have to wait 3k miles there's no way i'll make it that long!!

i'm not exactly sure what i need to do for breakin.....motor hasn't seen over 6147 rpms yet.....might hook up vtec today just for fun!!
