Default External camera mounts?

I've seen these pop up here and there, but cannot find any of the links.
Can someone point me the way to an external camera mount (magnet/suction cup/ whatever)?

http://www.ChaseCam.com makes some nice ones. I've been happy with the two I bought from them.

Sorry I don't have a lot of posts. I am a search *****. I recently picked up the GoPro Hero motorsports camera. Website is http://www.goprocamera.com

I have only done 2 events with it and the second was today so I have not uploaded them. If you want to see my first attempt to use it go to youtube and search AutoX Leo. The camera is $180 with the mounts to put it anywhere in or outside the car. My fourth video posted is in the grill of the GSR. The sound is a little bad but I haven't figured out all of the settings yet. But for cheap, it can't be beat.

Im not exactly satisfied with mine.

*The in-car mounting is a pain because I can never get the right angle I want. I ended up making a custom mount for it have yet to try it though.

*The sound leaves more to be desired. I could barely hear anything and had to cut holes in the case just to hear anything.

*The settings have pissed me off a couple of times. Id have it recording and for some reason it would cut out 3-4 seconds in to the run. I have probably missed 3-4 of runs because of this.

Here are my vids of it. I also have a kodak camera with video, my new mount has it so I can use both I will be comparing my cheap point and shoot vid with the gopro when I get a chance.

i've had some issues with my go-pro too, after 2 events and roughly 4 sessions i'm yet to have anything on video,
i'm not sure if its something i have done wrong with the settings? the memory card etc.

i've seen ALOT of people using theses though, maybe i just got a bad one?

Its not that the vison is narrow, its that the camera for me had to be mounted vertically. Which is one of the issues with mounting. They come with double sided stick tape mounts but I didnt want to stick it onto a part of my car.

I have made a mount for it that attached to the head rests. Where I will use one of the mounts, so I can get horizontal video.

I cannot get a proper mount for it via suction cup. And if I do its on the windshield or the rear window, but I wanted to watch myself as well to see what I am doing. So it doesnt work to well.

Iv messed with settings and the ones in the video where the best ones.

Excellent! Thanks for all the info guys!

I talked to a rep from this company at SEMA:
http://panavise.com/f/cctv/index.html
They make a lot of hard mounts that would be interesting for some under-car shots. He said they also make the mounts for the GoPro's which seemed to be a very popular booth at SEMA.

FYI
ChaseCam is also advertising a new HD camera setup. Not sure on pricing though.

I used an aluminum leg from an old walker, drilled holes which cue up to the holes for the passenger side headrest. On the opposite end of the leg, is a bolt which matches up to the thread on the bottom of the camera, works amazing for a zero cost solution and is not in the way at all. Holds the weight of a MiniDV camcorder just fine, the video is actually good, for a camera without stability control.

Go to the back of your local hockey rink, find dumpster, look inside for broken carbon fiber or kevlar hockey stick shaft. Extract the usable portions, cut to length, drill holes which can be clamped between to portions of the shaft to the passenger side headrest. You know the rest, light strong and easily modified to me your needs!

Silly Canadian, I live in the middle of Virginia. I think the closest hockey ring is about 100 miles away. We do have cow tipping and local Civil War reenactments!

us south of the border people just buy them at a sporting goods store, cut the top 10 inches off and give the usable stick to a 4'7'' 11 yr old hockey player.

so sort of reverse.
