Default Ecu chips

First off I have to say I'm searching for an OBD-1 P72 ECU and I'm having a real hard time finding one at a reasonable price. Any help at getting one would be appreciated. The best I have seen is $225 shipped from some guy I never heard of.

On with my question. What chips out there are any good? Right now I'm looking at a chip from Yoshiro at japanese-auto.com or a Hondata S100 or S200. The ecu will only be for autocrossing so I don't care about gas milage, idle etc... The motor its for is mostly be stock except for the usual CAI/header/exhaust.

Check out Adrian at http://www.hyperducktuning.com he's well known on H-T

I know Yoshio as well and well he is a clown from my town

That bastard wants $500(just for the chip) Canadian for a chip thats a so-called "custom tuned just for my car" when really its the same chip he sells everyone.

He used to be very highly regarded until his ego got the best of him...just check out his opening page on that site and it will show you the ego trip that man is on. I think sometimes he licks his own uhm nevermind.

If you ask Adrian he can even show you dyno comparisons of different programs for a GSR(thats what you have right?) using different chips.

Thanks for the update on Yoshiro. Most of the information I had on him is a little dated.

Go visit DSR in San Jose.

They have the software to reprogram Honda fuel and timing maps (They reprogrammed my OBD2 ITR ecu ) for a custom program made for your car on the Dyno.
Or
If you want the Hondata, they are authorized dealer for Hondata.

Go speak with Lawrence at Dyno Spot, he'll take care of you, he's local, and he'll tune your ecu specifically for your car.

Geratol,

can`t help about your chip but your avatar is badazz !
Could you post the pic it`s taken from ?

Don`t know if this really helps you, but why not trying some of Kenji`s P28 ECU`s plus chip and harness..? I use it for road racing and love it

I think I will go to DSP and see about getting a Hondata S100 installed in a P72. The only trouble now is finding a OBDI P72 that doesn't cost a arm and a leg.
