Sorry Guys.. Wish I could boost the numbers, but I will be instructing instead of racing this event.

Unfortunately no.

We are being hit with a procrastination factor, and a few people have backed out for various reasons.

In the end, we should easily get 20, but it shouldn't come down to having to prod people to send their entries in. Sorry if that pisses anyone off, but I'm not real happy about this right now.

Scott, who based on verbal commitments, told sponsors (and NASA) to easily expect 20 to 30 entries for this event.

Question, is there something supposed to be mailed back out to us or not? I sent the registration two weeks ago and I remember reading somewhere that we are getting something mailed back? Thanks to anyone who'll clear this up for me.

I got an email confirmation Alex. That's all I've seen so far.
I know that Elyse has your registration though. Two drivers, you and TB.

Which is the exact reason i gave no commitment of any kind about when I would be able to start actually competing in the races. I wanted to have my car prepared and ready(and have the licensing and paperwork done) for whenever I am ready, and to be quite honest, I didn't think I would be attending this event at all(even as an instructor). However, my condition is improving much faster than I ever hoped, and after attending the Car Guys school last weekend with no ill side-effects, I think I'm gonna be fine for a while. So, I'm gonna try some more on-track under DE(Instructing) conditions, then if I'm doing well after that, I will think about competing.
to those who are able to get out there and have some fun.

I will post who has signed up tomorrow. Tonight I go straight to Summit Point from work to do Tech for the National so I will be home late.

You big chance to get more entries in before I know about it!

When you post the current entries, can you break it down by group H1 - H5
Want to know if all I have to do is show up to win H4.
Come on guys/gals. Get those entries in.

So if we are close by the end of the day today, but we know more entries are coming in...

What if we all offered to spoon Grumpy at the track?

Well there will be at least one yellow/blue and one red H4 car to play for sure that I know of, so I don't think you'll be all alone in H4.

I also talked to Tom F. yesterday and he said that they will be there, but still they don't know which cars will be done by then. He did say that worst case he'll just take the Accord ITB car up to CMP. Does that car fit in H4? If so, this class will be even more fun.

I shall be there chasing you two (or whatever final H4 count comes out of Atlanta) in H4. I believe Elyse has me in this count as well.

We have tons of commitments, just some lazy racers who haven't sent their registration in. 20 should be no problem once we get the stragglers over the next 2 weeks.

No, not give him something with a spoon, spoon with him!

Matt

Edit: spelling, okay I'm **** about that sometimes, so sue me.

Well...
That's MUCH better.

17 if you add Adam, who will definately be in H4.

Tom Fowler will also be there for sure. Likely in the Accord, which is H5 legal, but we'll make him run in H4 due to the "Fowler Factor." Those who have seen the guy drive know what this is.
Another H4 will be Lyonel Kent. An SCCA IT guy from Tennessee. He says his entry went in the mail this morning.

Blake Meredith and Todd Reid are both working out technical issues with their H1 cars. Hopefully they'll both make it as well.

Grumpy is being flexible with us THIS TIME. It looks like the run group is secure.
In the future, we all have to be all over each other's butts to make sure the entries are sent in early.

So how about the non honda/acura challenge people, what kind of turn out (and what cars) are signed up for the other NASA classes?

Hey the 2.0L Accord should really be an ITA car according to a lot of the guys in charge of the scca IT rules. (And this is after a similar accord couldn't even win the ARRC in ITB with Randy Pobst at the wheel!) Anyway in whatever car he ends up running, I think it will be great to run against Tom F. on the track, especially if it's in the same class.

I seriously expected maybe 2 more entries other than us in H4. But this many H4 cars (and the total number of actual participants) REALLY surprised me. This is great. Hope this series keeps growing like this.

Surprised?
Why?

Karl and I are whipping this donkey, no worries. I expect over 30 entrants by the time we get to VIR next October. Maybe 40.
Hell, we had 14 cars at VIR in February and we didn't even have a race.

Keep your fingers crossed, if all goes as planned, by the end of the day on Tuesday we'll have a contingency program nearly as good as the SARRC. And we haven't had our first race yet.

Scott, co-director of the amateur race series everyone will be talking about by the end of the year.
