Difference in brands of strut bars?
I am new to this section and just had a quick question, What is the difference in the brands of strut bars? I want to get front and rear upper bars. I just dont know what kind to get. Someone told me that a strut bar is a strut bar. They all do the same job. i.e. Spoon = Ractive. I dont know what to believe. What do you believe? Thanks for your opinions.
Hinged vs. one-piece
Solid bar vs. hollow
One material vs. another
Thickness
Not all bars are created equal. DC stands out in my mind as having the worst reputation for flimsy bars. However, a well designed homemade bar will perform as well as a $300 JDM piece.

any racecar fab shop can build you one for a reasonable cost, and will probably "perform" better than a name-brand with a pretty sticker.

wow! shiny! stickers! titanium!
Again, a "cheap" steel or aluminum bar made by a local racecar fab shop will cost you much less and work just as well, if not better, than the bar made from unobtanium with the logo of a notoriously expensive JDM company on it...
