Default Decals and timeframes.. Mini rant

Ive been trying to get some decals cut for probably a month now.

The 2 online places said "sure". After 2 weeks I cancelled the order

Then I tried a local Sign-a-rama and they had 2 weeks and produced nothing.

Is it just me or is it getting increasingly hard to get decals sorted out in a timely manner? Is its unreasonable to cut 4 #33's on white vinyl??

Go to a craft store.
Pick up some vinyl paper.
Print them yourself.
Done.

That is what I am doing... except mine are magnetic.

My local sign shop cuts them for me right in front of me. I refer everyone thats close to my area to them.

I can give you the number to someone over here but I can't vouch for him yet. I'm about to get him to make me some mag numbers (he's the brother of my boss at the bike shop I used to work at.)

I've had great service with these guys, last order turnaround was 2 days:

There's one right across the street from work and I see there are stores in Atlanta, too.

I got 6-10" numbers and 8-4" class letters for a little over $30 out the door. Seems pretty reasonable to me. I am a graphic designer and I set up the numbers myself, which possibly could have made it cheaper but I highly doubt it.

Call and get a quote.

If you're still looking for Mags check the link in my signature. He's a great guy and does custom work, good prices too. I know this is his down time so he can probably get it done quick. Let him know you were reffered by someone from SCCA Chicago/TSSCC. ask for John.

if you can wait.. when I used them it was hard to get in touch with him and they made a few mistakes that took awhile to get fixed.. I ended up having to print some numbers on sticky paper at kinko's and use those at a race as a result.. maybe I caught him at a bad time..

I can cut them for you if you are in a pinch. I sit next to my machine and will just load and cut.

I don't do huge jobs. Pretty much just stuff for my friends and all.

Firstly
I appreciate the generousity of several members
I wasnt trying to find a place to do it more as trying to understand what constitutes a reasonable timeframe for the delivery of decals. Some good info tho
