Ok, so my rear swaybar is a little screwed up. Turns out it was WAY pre-loaded in one direction. I catch it, and then I forget where the steering wheel is pointed. Only people that catch fwd cars w/ lots of power will understand that there is zero steering wheel feedback when you've got it floored. This is how I lose the lead:

A rundown on our weekend. Steve http://www.sgt-racing.com and I left for Greensboro, NC on friday. We got there a little late and managed to dyno the car at Turbo Tune. Mark's a great guy, and he let us get plenty of tuning done. Off to go play with our newfound power
Saturday was cursed for us. I should have known the camber kit slipped sometime in qualifying as the car started to understeer more and more. These sticky new Hoosiers covered up for the massive toe-in that I was running, due to the slipped camber kit.
I couldn't turn worth a damn during the race, and ended up just drag racing people down the straights. How positively boring
I came around the last turn near the end of the race only to find myself with no power. The engine had cut out. Crap.
Steve hooked up the computer and found out the map sensor wasn't working. Turns out that the power wire to the map sensor was cut. Only the weirdest stuff breaks on my car.
Being mostly fixed for sunday, I gave it a good run in during practice, and she felt pretty good. I got a nice clean lap for qualifying and managed to get pole position by a tenth of a second. The top four cars were seperated by four tenths of a second. Yes, boys and girls, H1 is gonna be a blast this year.
I got owned on the start and dive bombed back for the position at the end of lap 1. I managed to hold and build the lead for a good number of laps until I pulled a total bonehead move. The rear end checked out pretty big in the carousel, and I floored it to catch it. I got it caught and still had it floored, but I couldn't feel through the steering wheel where the center was. I forgot where the center of the wheel was, and pointed it off to never never land. It finally caught after billowing out some rather impressive blue smoke from both tires, and shot me off into the grass.
One, two, and three positions go zooming by. Fandamntastic. I crank it up again and manage to eek back up to third, but that's all the tires had left in them. I'm still 250 lbs over minimum weight. Gotta work on that diet thing.
See ya at the next round.

Been there done that.. I was in the middle of patting myself on the back for a nice catch when I realized the steering wheel wasn't pointed straight. Power + LSD + rain == no feel from the wheel where things are pointed.

maybe it's time for ya'll to put one of those nifty strips of BRIGHT yellow tape at the top of the steering wheel, so that next time, you'll know which side is up. just a thought.

CMP is a great track. I love driving it. The 1-2-3 complex, turn 4 and the entry into the carousel, the kink and the pray to the brake gods for 11, etc.
