if you paid with a visa card, have you tried to go through your card company to get this resolved? they are usually quite good about this.

i hate the import parts run around.

someone around here needs to get me my parts soon, b/c i've been more than patient, in fact probably too patient.

i really don't have time to go to court, but i'm also not in the business of extended $750 0% interest loans to small businesses. also chances are if i put up a thread, which i will eventually do, it'll get deleted, since that's the nature of messageboards, sponsors, and the poor end user.

leaves a nasty taste in my mouth, and even if these guys are good people, i'm never doing business with them again. it appears that their m.o. is to sell all these great parts, and offer "specials" on them so that people send them money, and they wait (in my case) 18 months and counting to ever make good on the transaction. It'd be one thing if i was the only case, but this happens to everyone who ever orders from this place.

as far as being on topic in the thread, there's no need to hire an atty for a $600 judgement. Just file something in small claims, and you can handle it yourself. I doubt the defendant will even show to the trial. Thing is, it's so ridiculous that parts vendors do this (so often, might i add) and we consumers don't have the time to follow through on holding them to their end of the bargain (going to court is a waste of time esp when it's not tons of money) but at the same time, money is money. It's almost spiteful that these shops waste your time and energy like this just because they can.

John Thawley-
thanks for your support and I am glad someone vouched this thread by looking into the "vendor" and providing true facts to support my case.

AS for contacting those that know Todd at Landspeed I have sent an IM to one guy, and JDMtyper also offered to help....

I can only hope that this gets resolved....thanks to those that are helping a total stranger from a website they only read posts from.

John Thawley- Mr. Honda Tuning Photographer of the year (in my opinion), thanks for supporting my cause to get the parts out of this situation.

I agree. Sounds like a working capital problem. Likely won't be around much longer. I hope you get this resolved before they declare bankrupcy and you're completely SOL.

If you paid with a cc, I'd start there immediately. Good luck.

There must be a new Todd at Landspeed, because the Todd I know that used to work there (a few years back now) works at Full-Race, so I'm sure its not the same guy.. On a side note, I can tell you from personal knowledge that Landspeed has been screwing A LOT of people, customers and vendors alike. I've heard through the grapevine that there are certain companies that won't even sell to them anymore..

My advice, call your credit card company and dispute the charge.

it's always good to make sure you don't do anything that would be harassment or intimidating to them. Be very professional and they won't have anything negative to say about you.

I doubt you trying to 'bully' them, but I thought it would help to have a reminder about things that can negatively affect you.

Sorry for the delayed response, as I normally skip over the "business threads". I'm not going to point fingers at anyone or say anything about the company or their customers at this point.

However, I will get in contact and see if I can't help work anything out. I'm sorry that you have run into these problems and hopefully everything can be resolved quickly.

It's been a long day and the clock says 2:09 am, I think it is time for some sleep. Just wanted to let you know that I saw the thread and will do everyting I can to help make things right.

Just getting ready for work and thought I would get on here and say thanks to everyone for their support, advice, or offers on IM's to help resolve this.

I will persue the credit card angle today, and I hope the guys that do know Todd at Landspeed will stop in, get my header and dc upper strut bar for the crx, and ship them to me, that is, if Todd even has them in stock, which he claims he doesn't.

At any rate, thanks to everyone, it is nice to see such great support for a forum member, If i can help in return in anyway please let me know.

thanks,

I've always been happy with the customer service and products from LSR. I've always gotten my stuff no more than a week later. Oh, and Todd hasn't worked there for like 6 months!

There is a new employee there, although I can't remember his name. It may be Todd?

The guy I have been dealing with is named Todd and he claims to be the owner of the company. I have heard of another "Todd" from a few years ago, but the Todd I have been dealing with I have dealt with for about 2+ years.
I won my Honda challenge championship with his help, and his powercore header.
There may be an "even twin" lurking....

It appears there is a good Todd at Landspeed afterall, so far the money has been refunded for the DC sports front strut bar, so thanks to someone who helped me out.
I have a pop up blocker and didn't have it turned off when I signed on here, and some of the im's were blocked and I didn't get the message, so if you guys in AZ that I was IMming with sent me a message, please resend.

Now, if I could just get the header from Landspeed I can finish the project car.
I have the car up on jacks, and I am moving my shop to a storage area for the next few months while the new building is completed, but having to move out with out having this car done is a real pain. If I had the header I could finish the car, and install the engine that is arriving next week...so not getting the header is a hold up to the whole deal....what a shame, I ordered and paid for it in Sept...

Thanks for the help, I have lost more than one message by not knowing where to go to retrieve it after my blocker zapped it...

Maybe I'll get a header from LSR soon to finish this project...anyone have any insight into getting Matt to get me my header? I will pursue the Visa chargeback here this week unless I get a header.

If someone could help out, I have been waiting for my products for almost 3 months now from LSR. They charged my company credit card almost $400 but no products yet. I just happened to stumble on this thread and just couldn't believe what I've read so far.

I have been dealing with a guy named Matt and could never get a hold of him. Leaving voicemails does nothing.

Roadrace...congrats on getting your money back. I wonder if I could still dispute the payment with the credit card company even though it's been so long. If someone here can get in touch with Matt from LSR tell him Adrian from TC Auto down in Michigan wants his money back!

Just call your CC company. Different cards have different policies. Bu most will let you do it. Just call them, explain to them what has been going on, and see if they can help you.

The only chargebacks I have ever done were no problem.

But here is a tip! Next time something like this happens, and you keep getting the run around after the 3rd call, just call your CC company and have them put a hold on the charge. Then the money does not get put on your card until you let them know that. Then when you call back the following week or 2 and tell them you would like a chargeback on it, it's a no brainer!

I just returned from a four day business trip to Phoenix. I spoke to a former LSR employee (now working at a different shop) and upon learning he used to work there, I asked what he knew about their current state of affairs. "They locked the doors last week," was his response. I have done nothing to confirm or deny his account, but he's a pretty well connected guy in the local import community. And Phoenix ain't that big. I assume he is correct and that LSR is finished for good.

In other news, it rained like hell the whole time I was out there. Hardly what we in the business like to call Chamber of Commerce Weather...
