Bondo? or something else?
I have my race car off the road right now, as it was in an accident. While I was able to get most of the sheetmetal mostly straight, there are a couple tears that I want to seal. I also have a rust spot that I dremel-ed away. What should I use to patch the holes? It dosen't have to be pretty, I just wan't something light, that will apply easily.
stickers!!
i would stay away from bondo on a racecar -- after the first "incident" it's going to crack and fall apart. i'd probably just weld up the holes if you're really worried about them.

hmm so how do you go about doing body work on a bashed in rear fender if you dont use bondo? is there some alternative that is more pliable, and even lighter perhaps? otherwise, i dont see how it can be striaghtened, except some serious cutting and welding which i dont want to do.

then again, if you do the repairs correctly and only use a tiny amount of bondo to fill in the hammer-marks, it might last -- but personally, i wouldn't risk it...it could possibly be a lot of wasted time and energy...

just leave it as is...especially if its a "racer".
Keep your eyes peeled for some body parts at a junkyard...or get some cheap parts from autobodypartsonline ...even though they aren't oem, its better than a bunch of holes?
hows the snow karl? and the cold weather? Its even snowing here

if the damage is somewhere like the rear quarter panel, we'll just straighten it the best that we can. if there is bondo on a race car, i doubt it will hold up for more than a couple of races, so why bother? my view at least...

If it's a race car, then just rivit sheet metal over it. A good friend of mine had a metal race car and fiberglass race car. There was sheet metal patches all over the metal car.
FYI: The cars ran late model class. The fiberglass car was for up here, the steel car ran down in Kentucky.
