Default backing plates

does anyone know what the specs are on teh packing plates for harness mounting hardware? i got eye bolts, but ho backing plates...again and if i can, im just gonna go ahead and make them.

Most of the ones I have bought are about 2.5" in diameter and 1/8" thick. You can by them from Simpson and other harness makers like M&R. Then again check with a Fastener supply house.

I think SCCA rules mandate 4"x4" plates. I'm not sure of the thicknes though.

ye, the only reason i want to make them is beacuse everytime i try to order them, i get screw'd and end up with everything else BUT the backing plates

found it
4” x 4” x 1/8” steel plate with pre-drilled hole. Required by SCCA and highly recommmended when mounting hardware directly to body of car.
