ok. i think the rotors will bump u out of stock but they may let it slide. as for the rest of the car, leave it stock. just do as many events as u can and learn to drive before u mod the car. also, don't be affraid to ask the fast guys at the events for tips. u can even have them ride with u to help u out(i know thats what we do with novices in ny).as for events, go to either autocross.com or the scca page. i'm sure u can find something in ur area. i wish i could help u more, but i'm not from ur area.
evolution is an autocross driving school. i have yet to attend, but friends of mine have and improved......greatly.
have a blast. thats what its all about

First things first. You post a message at noon on Thanksgiving day and are surprised that you don't get a response within one hour???? Are you for real???

Now to answer your questions:

With the slotted rotors you are illegal for stock and street prepared classes; you will have to run ST, SM, P or M. The best thing would either be to install regular rotors and run in stock or continue to upgrade the car and run in ST; there are drawbacks to each. If you want to be competitive your best bet is to get as much seat time as you can and not worry about car mods right now. Most people are unwilling to do that, however, and think the only way to get fast is to make the car fast; this is the farthest thing from the truth.

To find a local events, find your local SCCA region (http://www.scca.org/interactive/regions.html) and contact them. You can also try http://www.autocross.com to find a club AND to check out their Getting Started in Autocross page which should be pretty informative for you.

Evolution Driving School is an autocross based driving course that will help you learn basic fundamentals every good autocrosser should know and use. They have a link off of the autocross.com website.

Good luck.
