Another moderator question for everyone's input
Are post bumps, "to the top" or ttt, and just a
ok with the administration here and with everyone else? and if its not, i think there needs to be a little more policing on this and a mild demerit from their user rating so they get the picture. am i going too far with this?
i find this really annoying. at least if a question goes unanswered, try asking the question again in a different way or something.

I too think that people should provide *something* relevant when they reply...
TTT!

Seriously, I don't think post bumping is much of an issue in the Competition Forum. I rarely see it happen.
Oh, and yes you are going too far with this. You need to learn to relax and not sweat the small stuff. Just read your JDM Garage magazine and get more fiber in your diet
[edit] (Ha! I just noticed I bumped this post twice in 5 min. hehehe

I think you're being a bit stiff with this... most of the stuff I see bumped on RR/Ax is schedules, or other info, about a pending event that many of us benifit from and we don't want to see fall to page 2. Perhaps we'd all see your point a bit better if you gave some examples. So in general, I think we're fine.
Of course there is always the chance some jackass will show up thinking he's funny and bump everything to amuse himself, but I see no reason to make a flat rule due to some random jackass.

I thinkk relevant is simple. I asked an question, got 28 responses and only 4 even came close to helping me answer the question. Which it seemed most people did not even read the question simply read other peoples off kilter comments resulting in a feeding off it self kind of thing.
You would have bought the cage with 40% thinner cromoly and done the modifications to a total of $900.00. Next you would have gone through your new car tech where your cage would have failed because your 40% lighter cromoly cage is also 40% too thin and then you would be sitting in the pit with $900.00 of pimpy chromoly **** instead of being out on-track racing.
You can complain all you want but if what metalworker said is true - which I am almost certain is, you would have bought an illegal cage. Without hashing it out no one would have known it was chromoly and you would have gone on the assumption that it was ok to run the thinner walls.
In this case our badgering saved you from making a $900.00 mistake.
I don't think it's that much of a problem that we should change policy. It one particular user does it habitually, deal with them personally. Let's not make the job of the moderators that much more involved. For now at least, this board is pretty good at policing themselves. A bump here or there for a post that was ignored is no biggie IMHO.
