Default alignment spec conversion?

got an alignment on my 96 hatch and I'm trying to read what the toe is set at but I'm only familiar with setting in inches for example 1/16", 1/8"... but the alignment print out for the toe is in degrees.
So how do I convert .02 degrees to inches?

It requries trigonometry and I'm probably not alone in forgetting all of the functions out of disuse. The fact that you ask suggests you missed out on Fun with Trig but you might be able to suss it out with a book or 'net reference.

(It's too early for me to do it and I have a presentation to prepare for today, or I'd play with it.)

It's a back-of-napkin estimate that 1* on a 24" OD wheel is about 1/2" of total toe so the reality here might be that if you have .02 degrees of toe - 1.2 minutes of angle, that I remember! - you are dealing with small enough numbers that your conversion is going to be subject to inherent error enough that they are meaningless. I wouldn't be surprised if, even on the same equipment, you could get repeatability within 1.2 minutes.

I'd recommend devising a way to measure your own toe and doing it in inches from the outset. You can get outfitted for less than $100 depending how much work you want to do yourself to build fixtures.

tan θ = toe inches / outside diameter of tire

(θ is toe measured in degrees)
