I have talked with someone that has had a great deal of trouble with them. He had at least one that was sent damaged and several others blew out in an accelerated time period. This is a national level driver that has been around for a long time as well. He finally game up and removed them. However, this may have been an isolated occurance.

I would hope so. For my money, I would go with custom valved Koni's

I've seen the ads, but haven't seen or heard about anybody using them. Translation, they must not be that good, otherwise more people would be using them. For the money, there are better alternative IMO.

I think you and I have talked to the same national level driver. Drives a teal Honda product? He was cursing Ground Control's name at Petersburg.

Is it the old guy in the overweight teal Honda product that runs STS? I thought he had Shocktek shocks on his car. In which case he probably would still be cussing at the shocks (like I was at the one that BROKE).

Now that we are all familiar with who we're talking about... the teal overweight STS Honda had Shocktek's remote reservoir setup as of Petersburg. I remember a few of us were teasing him about just what kind of nitrogen-derivative those pressurized canisters held.

Wow, was I that transparent...I mean, no that is not him...really it is someone else...really. Oh, h*ll you caught me.

Actually, I figured a few of you would know who I was talking about. I have to say, he is not always the one I would listen to for setting a car up, but he is no idiot either. Idiot savant, that may be another story...j/k.

But the truth is that I have not seen anyone other than him running advance design shocks. Why not, kind of makes you wonder huh?

On other subjects, what is this I hear about Shoktek going under? Anyone have any details? Hey Pat, if this is true, looks like you got your money back just in time.

Later,
EC

This person did have Shockteks at Petersburg. That was his/her first event on the new shocks. He/She found busted Advanced Design shocks after a previous national tour event.

Even with these fancy Shocktek shocks, I still whoop him/her and his/her co-driver

Scott Lucas runs them in his Inegra R. He has had good relations with the company as far as support.

I am not sure if he in here though.

That was not his first event on the new shocks. Don't let "Pretty Fly for a Bly Guy" fool you -- he ran on them the week before at a Jeff. Circuit autocross. The shocks were .3 off. (That's an inside joke that only about 3 other people here would understand.)

I'm not sure what the deal with Shocktek is. I don't know what story to believe. Some say Mike O. sold the business but is going to work on the side, some say he is going to be back in full business when he gets some machine working ... all I know is that my hands are clean now.

.3 off...Man you kill me.

Your hands are clean and your pockets are full, woo hoo.
