3 point harnesses
ok. ur not gonna need anything special in the tool dept. just a socket to fit the mounting bolts (explained further in the post). first thing to do is to set up the harnesses. run the straps through all the latches and buckles that they come with. they will come with instructions on this. the lap belt has two attachment points. they attach under the seat on either side where the seat bolts into the floor. for this, u'll need the socket that fits (mine was 12mm in my ef i think.) this is real easy. u don't have to take the seat out. just unbolt the rear of it and it will lift up a little. that will be all u need. put the mounting bracket in and bolt the seat back in. but before u do, make sure the belts are where u want them and not binding on anything or rubbing on anything that may cut them over time.
next is the shoulder mounting. u have 3point, so u only have one mounting bracket for the shoulder harnesses. for safety reasons, your shoulder belts should be something like 90 degrees from the seat. in other words, they should not be mounted directly behind the seat. i suggest either mounting them to the reat strut tower or to the rear shoulderbelt mounting point on the car. this keeps the angle to a safe degree. for this, just pop off the cap that covers the bolt for the belt mount. remove the bolt and install the harness bracket. then reinstall the rear shoulderbelt (if u want to. u can leave it out if u like) and reinstall the bolt.
the final step is to make sure the bolts are all nice and tight. then adjust the belts to fit u and then ur set.
now, if u should ever end up upside down with a harness and no rollbar, things may get.....interesting. so my advise is to be carefull and think about a rollbar.
