got the CRX weighed...yep, 1990lbs... without a driver, full tank of gas.
Here's what contribute:
1990 crx hf (stock, it's like 1920lbs)
all interior, gone, sans dash with custom gauge layout, and two seats.
4 point autopower bolt in rollbar.
polycarbonite rear quarter panel windows
no front bumper support
CF hood
B18C1 (probably the reason for the heft over the stock HF engine)
10lb wheels at each corner.
battery in the trunk.
LEFT FRONT: 32.5% (648 lbs)
RIGHT FRONT: 29.4% (585 lbs)
LEFT REAR: 18.4% (367 lbs)
RIGHT REAR: 19.5% (390 lbs)
LEFT TOTAL: 50.9% (1015 lbs)
RIGHT TOTAL: 48.9% (975 lbs)
LEFT FRONT + RIGHT REAR: 1623 lbs
RIGHT FRONT + LEFT REAR: 1600 lbs
TOTAL FRONT: 61.9% (1233 lbs)
TOTAL REAR: 38.0% (757 lbs)
dang, I have one heavy CRX...no wonder why I need the 220whp. So, any recommendations on getting that 60% closer to 50%, without raising the curb weight?

1990, still a good weight. I'm envious. My 88 Std hatch is 2050lbs -- pretty similar configuration (B16). But I still have all glass + the bumper support.
You want to reduce the nose heavy front end? Might have to put a D-series back in.

you can only change cross weights when doing corner weighting. Front to rear only changes slightly.
If you want 50-50 weight distribution front to rear, you would probably have to move the engine into the passenger compartment...

50/50 is ideal for "mid engined" (front or rear mounted) chassis where the whole drivetrain is between the two axles.
crx is not mid engined.
why didnt you weigh the car with you in it and focus on corner balancing instead?

it was a quick weighing session. roll the car on. run the numbers. push the car off. all done in like 3 minutes. he had like 40 other cars to do in a span of maybe an hour.
