Kinsler ITB's - straight from the source
just saw the crazy ~45 whp gain the ProFunction post. my jaws dropped. i have a b16a with 190 whp and 120 ft-lbs. is 51mm what you would advice or should i go with 55 mm? the idea that i can use it for 1.8-2.0 engines later is a huge plus. i guess my questions are:
if i get the 51 mm now, can i upgrade it to 55?
or
is 55 way over kill for 190 whp? my motor is still only stock JDM 10.4:1 CR and stock head (only valve train upgrades). as we know a good b16a can do 210-215 whp with a manifold power peaking ~9000 rpm so do you think maybe 55mm is ok after all for a high rev b16a? the idea that i could potentially gain 20-35 whp with your ITB upgrade is just fantastic.

From Mikey's customer's description, the 55's are pretty touchy for the street. This motor was up almost 60 HP over yours before the ITB, so yes, I'd have to say 55's would be too big. 51mm would probably be best if you actually want to drive the car. If it's race only - go all out and do the 55s. 51s (keep in mind, that's four 2" butterflies) will flow plenty enough to make 250 at the crank.
We can always make a unit bigger, but we can't put material back to go smaller.

Congratulations to Jose Bello who set a new All Motor Street record this past weekend at E-town. 10.16 @ 132 mph!!!!
Lots of customer's with new personal bests - Congrats to you all!
I'm making arrangements to be at E-town next year, so I hope to see some of you guys there.
I will be at the IMIS and PRI trade shows this December, so if you're near Indy or Orlando, please stop by and say hello.

I don't consider myself to be a high-pressure kind of sales guy, in all honesty, I think I'm more of a "tech-guy" than a "sales-guy" in general, but I have to discuss an upcoming sales matter and I don't want anyone to think I'm trying to push sales by saying what I have to say.
We released the first Honda K-series ITB in October of 2006 with a Dealer Price of $2,288.90. Though the company had two "across the board" price increases since then, I successfully fought to hold the original price on the Honda's. My friends, 2011 will have a new Dealer Price for Honda manifolds/ITBs. Nothing is set in stone yet, but I anticipate an approximate 4% increase that will take effect in January.
This applies to all our Distributors, as well as end-users that we deal direct with.
Any deposit received in 2010 will secure the current Dealer Price of $2,288.90
January 2011 will begin with a new price....
I'll update the thread with the 2011 Prices as soon as they are set.
In the meantime, feel free to get in touch if there's anything I can do.
Best Regards
